MELBOURNE, FL/GATINEAU, QC, Canada, January 23, 2013 — Harris Corporation (NYSE:HRS), an international communications and information technology company, has been awarded a contract to provide a voice communications system for military air traffic control in Algeria. This will be the seventh Harris Voice Communication and Control System (VCCS) deployed in Algeria, with an option for four additional systems to be deployed over the next two years.

Harris will supply the Liberty-STAR™ VCCS to a partner that will integrate the system into a mobile military shelter for monitoring aviation activity in remote locations.
