Expanded coverage reduces current system dead spots.

Norden Extends Harris CapRock Agreement to Add VSAT Communications Services to Global Fleet

Highlights:

Customer utilizing Harris CapRock's SeaAccess™ Communications solution, designed for commercial maritime market.

Contract extends service to 39 vessels.

Solution provides corporate networking, Internet access, corporate and crew voice, and other services onboard all vessels.

MELBOURNE, FL and OSLO, NORWAY - May 17, 2013 — Norden A/S, an independent shipping company headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark, has extended its agreement with Harris CapRock Communications to provide broadband communications to Norden's global fleet of 39 bulk carrier and tanker vessels. The agreement expands an initial contract awarded in March 2012 to support 39 vessels.

Harris CapRock will provide each Norden vessel with end-to-end Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT) communications that enables corporate networking, Internet access, voice communications, real-time monitoring and reporting, and crew morale services. The turnkey solution includes network design, equipment and installation, service and 24/7 support from Harris CapRock's Customer Support Center. To date, Harris CapRock has successfully installed 30 vessels of the Norden fleet.

"We have commenced an initiative with some of our selected vendors, giving us online access to certain equipment on a trial basis, such as navigation equipment and cargo pumps," said Jesper Kongstad, Director of Technical Department for Norden. "This is enabling online diagnosis and the expedition of troubleshooting which is a great time and cost-saver for us. The system has also improved the day-to-day collaboration between office and vessels," Kongstad continued. "For example, when our vessels log onto video communicating, it is easy to transmit short messages back and forth in real-time, rather than having to send emails or make calls. We feel this will help break down barriers between office and vessel.

"Equally importantly, we have noticed an improvement in crew morale. Ensuring our employees can stay in close touch with family and friends while at sea is of utmost importance to Norden, and the system from Harris CapRock allows us to do this," Kongstad added.

Norden A/S is an independent shipping company headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark, operating in dry cargo and product tankers worldwide. Its fleet is among the most modern and competitive in the industry, conducting operations including shipping of refined oil products and transportation of steel, cement and other type of cargo.

Harris CapRock Communications is a premier global provider of managed satellite and terrestrial communications solutions specifically for remote and harsh environments including the energy, government and maritime markets. Harris CapRock owns and operates a robust global infrastructure that includes teleports on six continents, five 24/7 customer support centers, local presence in 23 countries and more than 275 global field service personnel supporting customer locations across North America, Central and South America, Europe, West Africa and Asia Pacific.

Highlights:

Falcon III® radios and systems serving as the backbone of tactical networking initiatives.

Enables Marines to send real-time voice, video, data and situational awareness.

Broadens Harris wideband networking leadership among the U.S. Department of Defense and its allies.

MELBOURNE, FL/ROCHESTER, NY, May 15, 2013 — Harris Corporation (NYSE:HRS), an international communications and information technology company, has received a $26 million order to help the U.S. Marine Corps to expand its wideband tactical networking capabilities and deliver the tactical Internet down to the individual warfighter.

The Marines are acquiring Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS)-certified Falcon III® AN/PRC-117G multiband manpack tactical radios that form mobile ad-hoc communication networks to exchange voice, video and tactical data reports on the battlefield. The order was received in the third quarter of Harris' 2013 fiscal year.

“The Marine Corps is making strategic investments in Falcon III radios and systems as the backbone of its tactical networking initiatives,’’ said George Helm, president, Department of Defense business, Harris RF Communications. “The AN/PRC-117G is field-proven and supports joint operations through its Type-1 implementation of wideband and legacy waveforms. The radio is also software-defined, which allows for easy upgrades to emerging technologies.”

Harris has deployed more than 30,000 AN/PRC-117G radios to all branches of the U.S. DoD and allies such as Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, Australia, Spain and Poland. Combat proven and exhaustively tested, the AN/PRC-117G radio provides unprecedented situational awareness on the battlefield by delivering critical real-time information to warfighters on the move. The radios are suited for deployment in joint missions because they operate Type-1 implementations of the JTRS Soldier Radio Waveform as well as legacy waveforms. The radio is also equipped to host the new Mobile User Objective Satellite waveform.

Harris RF Communications is the leading global supplier of secure radio communications and embedded high-grade encryption solutions for military, government and commercial organizations. The company's Falcon® family of software-defined tactical radio systems encompasses manpack, handheld and vehicular applications. Falcon III is the next generation of radios supporting the U.S. military's Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) requirements, as well as network-centric operations worldwide. Harris RF Communications is also a leading supplier of assured communications® systems and equipment for public safety, utility and transportation markets — with products ranging from the most advanced IP voice and data networks to portable and mobile single- and multiband radios.

Provider organizations scheduled to join the service include large hospital networks, federally qualified health center networks, regional health information organizations, and the 67 county health departments.

East Kent University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust Chooses Harris Corporation's Clinical Integration Platform

Highlights:

Solution streamlines access to core clinical applications and gives clinicians a single contextual view of patient information.

Will save time accessing patient data stored in different systems.

Initial deployment will start with 500 users.

MELBOURNE, FL/ WINNERSH, UK, May 7, 2013 — East Kent University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is deploying Harris Corporation's Clinical Integration Platform to help provide a paperless and mobile clinical environment as part of a wider modernization program. East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest and busiest hospital trusts in the United Kingdom, with more than 7,000 staff across five sites.

The Trust signed a pilot agreement for 500 clinical portal licenses to enable the organization to bring together patient information from different clinical systems that currently work in isolation. This will provide healthcare professionals with a real-time, intuitive and comprehensive view of critical patient data necessary to provide safe, high-quality and timely patient care.

The initial phase of the implementation will integrate data from six major clinical systems including the Trust's patient administration, pathology, document management, vital signs monitoring, PACS and theatres systems.

Leveraging Imprivata's OneSign Single-Sign On, the clinical portal will automatically log in, draw and present relevant patient information from each of the systems and provide it on a single screen. In addition, the system also will enable doctors to order standard diagnostic tests quickly and confirm receipt of results.

"We have chosen to pilot the use of a clinical portal solution across three clinical specialities with the intention that it provides the technology to enable staff to operate more efficient and paperless clinics in line with the trust's IT strategy and the government's challenge to create a paperless NHS by 2018," said Bob Reeves, head of IT at the Trust. "By using such technology and simplifying our processes, East Kent estimates that the solution can reduce the amount of time that busy A&E doctors spend searching for patient information by up to 20 minutes for more complex patients."

"East Kent University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is working with Harris Healthcare to overcome the same challenge that so many organizations face — accessing existing information spread across numerous systems without the need to go through the time-consuming and costly process of replacing everything," said Mike Smith, director of technology (EMEA), Harris Healthcare. "The clinical portal has great clinical buy-in as it works with the systems that front-line staff are already familiar with but also provides a much clearer and quicker way to access patient data to ensure healthcare professionals have the right information at the right time."

About East Kent Hospitals University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest hospital trusts in England, with five hospitals serving a local population of around 759,000 people. The trust also provides many health services from other NHS facilities across East Kent including child and adolescent mental health services and renal services in Medway and Maidstone.
